INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Working for the law Office of John A. Ramsey, Jr. affords law students an exciting and unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a law office focusing on Criminal and Civil Justice issues. Interning with John A. Ramsey, Jr. also offers students a chance to perform meaningful work toward the completion of their degree.

The John A. Ramsey, Jr. PA Internship and Volunteer Program is open to interested students enrolled in an accredited ABA law school. The program offers unpaid internship and student volunteer opportunities. All students seeking academic credit during the fall, spring, or summer term should apply for an unpaid internship. In addition, students who are not receiving academic credit are welcome to seek volunteer opportunities.

Students must be able to work for a period as prescribed by the college or school. The number of internships or student volunteer opportunities available each term is based on office need and opportunity.

Interested students are directed to complete and submit the appropriate application packet prior to the deadline.

Application Deadlines

  • Fall: August 6th
  • Spring: December 3rd
  • Summer: April 30th

Note: to ensure consideration for the term indicated, applications must be received by the deadline provided.

Student Internship or Volunteer (Unpaid)

Accepting Applications

For an applicant to be considered for an internship the following are required:

  1. Letter of Introduction. This letter should tell us about you and your goals and expectations.
  2. Resume
  3. Official Transcript
  4. Letter(s) of Recommendation.

Please note: 2nd and 3rd year law students will be expected to provide a writing sample, at the time of interview, if selected.
